I'm not really that familiar with scribd, but have you tried editing the text before sending the document to that service? Move the overlapping text lower?

So...  Let me explain what I'm using these for.  This forum I'm on--we're creating a newsletter/paper for it, just for fun or whatever.  I downloaded the Word templates (don't have Photoshop, etc.) and am attempting to edit it and put it into iPaper on scribd.com.  However, the words are all funkily overlapped...
